PETALING JAYA: Perak Transit Bhd is looking to provide electrical buses and electric vehicle charging stations, in line with its environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint of its operations.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the group said it is optimistic that the proactive business transformations and efforts to drive more innovative leasing solutions will continue to drive the growth in the near future.
Perak Transit reported a net profit of RM14.86mil for its second quarter ended June 30, 2022, compared with RM13.46mil a year earlier, mainly due to higher contribution from the integrated public transportation terminal operations and petrol station operations.,
Revenue grew to RM42.13mil from RM34.95mil previously. Basic earnings per share stood at 2.20 sen, versus 2.12 sen a year earlier.
For the six-months period ended June 30, 2022, net profit rose to RM29.11mil from RM26.86mil a year earlier, while revenue grew to RM82.79mil from RM70.40mil previously.
The group also declared a third interim dividend of 0.75 sen per ordinary share, payable on Nov 15, 2022.
